Celebrate the official opening of Alconbury Weald’s brand-new community space

The Pavilion, which sits at the heart of the first phase of Alconbury Weald, is the first space dedicated solely to the community, with groups already using the space to offer activities for the community such as Cricket, Alconbury Scouts, Yoga and Parent & Baby groups.

Come along to Alconbury Weald's Pavilion Launch Weekend which offers fun for everyone as we celebrate the official opening of the new community space. On Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 July, you are invited to join in lots of free activities including Yoga, Bootcamp, Tai Chi, Football Fun Factory, Children’s Dance and Baby Wellness from some of the community groups already enjoying the facilities at the Pavilion.

As well as joining in the free activities, there will also be food from the popular food trucks, and drinks from Banquet Inn Bars from 2pm on both days. There will also be picnic benches and deckchairs for you to sit, relax and enjoy the weekend. Safe social distancing will be actively encouraged throughout the weekend.

There will also be an opportunity to watch the St Ives Cycling Club Summer Road Race set off from outside The Club on Sunday 25 July, with the Men’s race leaving at 9am. Please note that the Boulevard will have a five-minute temporary road closure as the riders set off.

Cricket East are currently running an All Stars Cricket Centre at Alconbury Weald for 5-8 year old boys and girls - On Saturday 24 July they will be running an additional session for those who want to attend and see what All Stars Cricket has to offer. The taster session will be 10:30 - 11:30am and no equipment is required – just appropriate sports clothing/footwear. Parents are invited to support the session and join in the fun! Contact Sam Rose via sam.rose@cricketeast.co.uk with your son/daughters name, date of birth and contact number to confirm your place.

The weekend is open to everyone but please book your space for the free activities so that we can ensure safe social distancing. Full details and how to register click here.
