Organised in partnership with Off The Beaten Truck, this year’s Food Festival will welcome food trucks serving a vibrant mix of cuisines. From wood fired pizzas, hickory smoked meat and traditional fish and chips, to Korean street food and South African and Jamaican fusion flavours, there’s something for everyone.
The Watch Office Bar & Kitchen will also be providing an outside bar, so visitors can enjoy their beverages at one of the picnic tables or whilst exploring the Food Festival.
Alongside the food trucks, a bustling food market will provide a mouthwatering selection of culinary delights to sample at the event or take home and enjoy. As well as artisan bread, German sausages and sushi, there will be market stalls selling cookies, tray bakes, cakes, fudge, sweets and frozen desserts.
There will even be something for your four-legged friends, with dog treats, collars, harnesses and toys available to buy.
Live music with be provided by the development’s resident band, The Weald Thing, who will be playing sets at 1pm and 2.30pm and Claire Cameron, a professional singer songwriter living at Alconbury Weald, will be performing at 4pm.
“The Food Festival is becoming a highlight of our community events calendar and its always lovely to see residents, friends and visitors meeting up to enjoy an afternoon of food, drink and fun, whilst supporting local traders.
“We’re delighted Alconbury Weald will be included in the Battle of Britain Memorial flight plan as it’s a fantastic way to honour the development’s military heritage and all those who served at RAF Alconbury during World War II.”
