Food, fun and flypast at Alconbury Weald Food Festival

Alconbury Weald Food Festival

Alconbury Weald’s popular Food Festival is back with a fantastic array of food alongside live music, family activities and an interactive community mosaic from Midday to 6pm on Saturday 13 June 2026 on Watch Office Green. A Battle of Britain Memorial Flight flypast is also scheduled to celebrate the development’s military heritage.

Organised by Alconbury Weald Community Association in partnership with Off The Beaten Truck – and sponsored by Redrow - visitors at the Food Festival will enjoy an extensive range of food and drink from a variety of food trucks serving cuisines from around the world. This will include fish and chips, wood-fired pizza, chicken wings, burgers, gyros, churros and ice cream - offering something for all culinary tastes.

The Watch Office Bar & Kitchen will also host an outside bar where festival goers can relax with a drink at the picnic tables or while exploring the Food Festival.

Alongside the food trucks, a bustling food market will showcase a tempting selection of artisan produce and culinary treats to enjoy on the day or take home, including paella, sushi, olives, spirits and freshly baked goodies.

An eclectic mix of live music will be performed throughout the event, featuring Ermine Street Church Academy Choir at midday, Alconbury Weald resident band The Weald Thing at 12.30pm, and RAW Divas at 3pm.

An exciting addition to this year’s Food Festival will be a live mosaic-building artwork created by Allan Levy, who specialises in large-scale photographic mosaics, public art and community participation projects.

Using hundreds of small photographs, Allan will create a single image symbolic of Alconbury Weald. Viewed up close, visitors will see individual photographs and then step back to see the larger image they create. People will be invited to upload their photographs from Alconbury Weald both in advance and during the event, allowing the artwork to evolve in real time throughout the day.

As the festival unfolds, the mosaic will become a visual celebration of the people, food, atmosphere and moments that make the event and place special. By the end of the festival, the completed artwork will reveal a shared image built entirely from hundreds of individual contributions.

“Alconbury Weald Food Festival has become a highlight of our community events calendar, bringing together residents, visitors and local businesses for a fantastic day of food, music and community spirit. This year’s event is set to be bigger and better than ever, with something for everyone to enjoy — from incredible street food and live entertainment to the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight flypast (weather permitting) and our exciting new community mosaic project.”
