Build a Bug Hotel

11am and 1.30pm on Saturday, 2 March at Swynford Park

With signs of Spring popping up all over Alconbury Weald, the Nene Park Education and Learning Team will be back at Swynford Park on Saturday 2 March with family-friendly nature-inspired workshops and a short, themed trail to help explore the local area.

The workshops – which start at 11am and 1.30pm – will transform 1.5l plastic bottles into planters to take home; a practical and effective way to recycle. Participants are encouraged to bring plastic bottles from home, although spares will also be available. No need to book, just come along and join in.

Last Autumn’s Wild Weald event with families creating bug houses to support some of our smallest inhabitants during the winter months proved really popular. We’re delighted the Nene Park team will be back with more top tips and insights for ways to recycle and support nature.
