Make News Winter 2023

Our Winter 2023 newsletter provides an update on the latest news and developments at Alconbury Weald.

Green spaces are central to the vision for Alconbury Weald and as well as progressing plans for the final section of Garland Park, we’ve been looking at the next strategic green spaces coming forward — and introduce the Nene Park Trust team, who will be sharing their expertise and experience in helping us deliver Prestley Country Park.

We also welcome Hartford Hedgehog Rescue, which has relocated to Alconbury Weald, and share top tips for supporting these amazing creatures.

Education is also a priority for the development. As well as the latest news from Jemima House Nursery and Ermine Street Church Academy, we provide an update on Prestley Wood Academy, Alconbury Weald’s special school, which is on track to open in September 2024.

Alconbury Weald Enterprise Campus continues to flourish, and we share insights from the Festival of Fresh and Invest in Huntingdonshire’s Manufacturing Summit, welcome Magpas Air Ambulance and support Marshall Land Systems’ plans to establish a new bespoke facility here.

We also share some of the highlights from the community event calendar, including the Scarecrow Festival, Wild Weald, Heritage Open Day, Remembrance Sunday and our first Christmas Market, which put us all is the festive mood!

Looking ahead to the New Year, we hope many of you will be able to come along to our Community Wellbeing Day in January and invest some time and energy into healthy bodies and minds for 2024.
