Community Day supports health and wellbeing
- 07.01.2026
Community Wellbeing Day supports health and wellbeing from 10am on Saturday, 24 January 2026 at Alconbury Weald.
After the excesses of the festive period, January is a great time to prioritise health, fitness and wellbeing for the year ahead. To help kickstart New Year’s resolutions, Alconbury Weald’s Community Wellbeing Day is a great way to relax, recharge and re-energise as you head into 2026.
This year’s programme offers a range of free activities for all ages and abilities to help improve flexibility, strength and fitness. This includes Hot Shots tennis and walking tennis, Tai Chi to relieve stress and improve strength, balance and flexibility, and a back pain and sciatica workshop. The Gym will also be welcoming potential members to look around and meet some of the team.
In addition, everyone is welcome to take part in a bird spotting walk to support RSPB’s Big Garden Birdwatch (23-25 January 2026), which will be followed by a nature-themed craft session designed to encourage mindfulness and enhance wellbeing.
The Watch Office Bar and Kitchen will be available throughout the event, with an opportunity to join the football team for breakfast, with bacon sandwiches or a veggie alternative for £5.
“Our Community Wellbeing Day is designed to give people a taster of some of the sports and activities available at Alconbury Weald throughout the year. Working in partnership, we are delighted to bring together complimentary activities for all ages, including sport and fitness classes, a nature walk and creative workshop. This event is a great way to unwind, recharge and begin the year with a renewed focus on wellbeing.”
All activities are free and a full programme, along with booking details (where required), is available on the Alconbury Weald website: www.alconbury-weald.co.uk/whats-on
