New housebuilder announced at Alconbury Weald
- 06.11.2025
A new housebuilder at Alconbury Weald has submitted plans for 178 new homes, of which 22 will be affordable rent/shared ownership, and associated infrastructure and landscaping north of the future Runway Park.
Denbury Homes has been building high quality new homes across East Anglia for over 40 years and is bringing forward plans for a range of 1 and 2 bedroom apartments and 2, 3 and 4 bedroom houses at Alconbury Weald.
Located to the north of the future Runway Park, landscape corridors will form Denbury Homes’ eastern and western boundary, and a pocket park set within the new homes will provide additional green space for residents to enjoy.
Denbury Homes approach to housebuilding emphasises high quality, sympathetic design to support thriving communities. Homes are designed with sustainability and energy efficiency as a fundamental consideration.
The proposals have been designed in line with the Design Code for Phase 3 of the development, which sets the high standards required and ensures consistency of quality, design and sustainability as Alconbury Weald continues to grow.
“With the first phase of Alconbury Weald nearing completion, we are delighted that plans for the next phases of the development are starting to take shape. We look forward to welcoming Denbury Homes to Alconbury Weald as a new housebuilder, allowing Alconbury Weald to continue to provide a diverse range of new houses and apartments. Alongside the new homes that will be delivered by Denbury Homes and other housebuilders, this phase of the development will include some exciting amenities including Runway Park, the Hub, Sports Hub and Heritage Area.”
Subject to planning consent, site preparation works including earthworks, access roads and pipe drainage could start in mid-2026, with the first homes available in summer 2027. It is estimated Denbury Homes will be completed in summer 2031.
