Kick off the festive season with Alconbury Weald’s Christmas Market

Alconbury Weald’s Christmas Market is a great way to kick start the festive season, from Midday to 4pm on Saturday, 29 November 2025, at The Glade (opposite Co-op). As well as a chance to stock up on unique gifts and decorations, and enjoy delicious mulled wine or hot chocolate with neighbours, the primary school choir will be singing seasonal songs as the Christmas lights are switched on.
In a first for Alconbury Weald, Santa will be visiting the Christmas Market, and his elves have been working with Enterprise Campus neighbour John Adams Toys to ensure children visiting Santa’s Grotto receive a special gift. Santa is heading into a busy time of year, so pre-booking is essential.
The Christmas lights in the Glade local centre, sponsored by Co-op, will also be turned on to mark the start of the Market and the countdown to Christmas. To add to the festive atmosphere, the voices of children from Ermine Street Church Academy choir will fill the air with traditional carols and Christmas songs.
Alconbury Weald Community Association has arranged a fantastic selection of stalls again this year offering festive gifts, handmade crafts and tempting seasonal treats. From wooden, knitted, clay and stained-glass crafts and decorations to toys, bath and shower products, sweets, cakes and bakes, local spirits, beer and mulled wine, there really is something special for everyone on your Christmas list!
In addition to a selection of food stalls, visitors can warm up with a selection of hot drinks and toast the season with spiced mulled wine as they browse. Pizza Mondo will also be serving wood fired pizza from its food truck and The Watch Office Bar & Kitchen will have a delicious array of festive food and drinks.
