Find out more and have your say on future development at Alconbury Weald

With the first phase of Alconbury Weald well underway, the project team is holding a series of drop-in events to discuss the next key stages of development and potential future expansion opportunities with residents and the local community.

The next key deliverables for Urban&Civic, master developer of Alconbury Weald, include: a new secondary school and special needs school to accommodate future education needs; connections through Grange Farm to link Alconbury Weald to the A141 - with prioritised bus and cycle connections to the new station, and a new road; a Country Park area for the Stukeleys - between the villages and the new development – with wooded and open green space on Grange Farm; and the next phases of housing and facilities.  As the new Local Plan identifies the potential for up to an additional 1,500 homes at Alconbury Weald, alongside the 5,000 already planned, these events will also provide an opportunity to explore different scenarios: working with the existing areas of development; safeguarding important green space; and ensuring the right level of facilities and infrastructure are brought forward at the appropriate time.

Rebecca Britton from Urban&Civic said: “We hope people will come along to these sessions to find out more about our plans for the next stage of development and help us develop the best plans for Alconbury Weald: ensuring they come forward in a way that maximises the benefits and minimises the impacts on residents and the local community.”

The sessions will be held at:

Friday 7 December 2018 Little Stukeley Village Hall,  4pm - 7pm Saturday 8 December 2018 Great Stukeley Village Hall, 12.30pm – 4.30pm Saturday 15 December 2018 The Club, Alconbury Weald, 10am - 3pm
