This competition is promoted by Urban&Civic, The Club, Alconbury Enterprise Campus, Alconbury Weald, Huntingdon PE28 4XA.
The competition is open to residents of any age currently residing in the United Kingdom.
Relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition are not entitled to enter the competition.
The competition will run from 9am on Thursday 14 May 2020 until 5pm on Monday 8 June 2020.
Three winners will be chosen by the judging team assigned to the competition – one for each of the following categories: 12 years old and under; teenagers (13-19 years old); and adults 20 years old and over). The winner of each category will receive a framed print and a £50 VEX Gift Card. Runners up will receive a £10 VEX Gift Card. Winning photos and runners up will be displayed at an exhibition at Alconbury Weald – location and date to be confirmed.
To enter the competition, users must email a photograph of Alconbury Weald wildlife, green spaces or their own back garden to email@example.com with a suitable caption to describe the image and its location. Please include your name, age and email address with your submission.
To be eligible to win the competition, the entry must be an original photograph, taken by the person entering the competition or a member of their family/friendship group should there be circumstances where the person who took the photograph cannot upload it themselves.
All entries must be as high resolution as possible to ensure a high-quality print and ensure the photograph is suitable for display at the exhibition.
Copyright in all images submitted for this competition remains with the respective entrants. However, in consideration of their providing the competition, each entrant grants a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual licence to Urban&Civic to feature any or all of the submitted images in any of their publications, exhibitions/displays, their websites, their social media and/or in any promotional material connected to this competition.
Only one entry per person. Late, illegible, incomplete, defaced or corrupt entries will not be accepted. No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries and proof of transmission will not be accepted as proof of receipt. Entries must not be sent through agencies or third parties.
The winning entries will be those that are most visually appealing, original and/or inspiring as judged by Jonathan Djanogly MP, Tim George (local photographer) and Natalie Leigh Brown (Alconbury Weald Community Development Lead).
Winners and runners up will be notified via email within seven days of the competition judging on 20 June 2020.
Whilst we are unable to specify an exact date for the photography display at the present moment (due to the COVID-19 situation), we will contact winners and runners up to notify them of where/when they will be on display.
All information detailing how to enter this competition forms part of these terms and conditions. It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that the competitor agrees to abide by these rules. All submissions will be entered into the competition. The decision of the judges is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. Submission of an entry will be taken to mean acceptance of these terms and conditions
