Alconbury Weald has many stories to tell through the decades, and the last few months might be just as historic.
We want to capture some of your reflections of living at Alconbury Weald during Coronavirus restrictions – whether it's home lessons, new work or exercise routines, or how you feel about living with/avoiding COVID-19.
It can be abstract, symbolic or simply a fantastic photo of your favourite space or the wildlife flourishing in the Weald.
So, whether you're a budding Steve McCurry, Annie Leibovitz or Martin Parr, we want you to show off your creativity and photography skills and share an image that best reflects how you are finding life in Alconbury Weald at the moment.
Please only take photos outside when you go for your daily exercise – don't make a special trip out!
The competition closes on 8 June.
Please submit your entry by email to firstname.lastname@example.org
and include your name, age, and email address, with a suitable caption to describe the image and its location.
Prizes will be judged by Jonathan Djanogly MP, Urban&Civic's local photographer Tim George
and Natalie Leigh-Brown (Alconbury Weald Community Development Lead) in the following categories:
- 12 and under
- teenagers (13-19)
- adult (20+)
Winners will be announced on 20 June and will receive a frame print of their entry and a £50 VEX Gift Card.
Runners-up will receive a £10 VEX Gift Card.
Good luck and happy snapping!
